Home Away from Home documents my view of Del Rio, Texas, and towns along the Texas-Mexico border where I often visited as a child to spend my holidays and summer breaks. As I grow older, my connection to this town starts to diminish and in order to combat the loss of my cultural connection, I photograph family members and staple locations to preserve my childhood memory of this place and my idea of home.
